Eternal Life (Mt 19:16-30 NIV)
MT 19:16 Now a man came up to Jesus and asked, "Teacher, what good
thing must I do to get eternal life?"
MT 19:17 "Why do you ask me about what is good?" Jesus replied.
"There is only One who is good. If you want to enter life, obey the
commandments."
MT 19:18 "Which ones?" the man inquired.
Jesus replied, " `Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal,
do not give false testimony, [19] honor your father and mother,' and `love
your neighbor as yourself.' "
MT 19:20 "All these I have kept," the young man said. "What
do I still lack?"
MT 19:21 Jesus answered, "If you want to be perfect, go, sell your
possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven.
Then come, follow me."
MT 19:22 When the young man heard this, he went away sad, because he had
great wealth.
MT 19:23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, "I tell you the truth, it
is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. [24] Again I tell
you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for
a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
MT 19:25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and
asked, "Who then can be saved?"
MT 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible."
MT 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible,
but with God all things are possible." MT 19:27 Peter answered him,
"We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for
us?" MT 19:28 Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, at the
renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne,
you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve
tribes of Israel. [29] And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters
or father or mother or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred
times as much and will inherit eternal life. [30] But many who are first
will be last, and many who are last will be first.
Grace in Giving (Lk 6:37-40)
LK 6:37 "Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn,
and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. [38] Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down,
shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with
the measure you use, it will be measured to you." LK 6:39 He also told
them this parable: "Can a blind man lead a blind man? Will they not
both fall into a pit? [40] A student is not above his teacher, but everyone
who is fully trained will be like his teacher.
Offering all to JESUS (Lk 20:45-21:4)
LK 20:45 While all the people were listening, Jesus said to his disciples,
[46] "Beware of the teachers of the law. They like to walk around in
flowing robes and love to be greeted in the marketplaces and have the most
important seats in the synagogues and the places of honor at banquets. [47]
They devour widows' houses and for a show make lengthy prayers. Such men
will be punished most severely."
LK 21:1 As he looked up, Jesus saw the rich putting their gifts into the
temple treasury. [2] He also saw a poor widow put in two very small copper
coins. [3] "I tell you the truth," he said, "this poor
widow has put in more than all the others. [4] All
these people gave their gifts out of their wealth; but she out of her poverty
put in all she had to live on."
The Shrewed Manager (Lk 16:1-15NIV)
LK 16:1 Jesus told his disciples: "There was a rich man whose manager
was accused of wasting his possessions. [2] So he called him in and asked
him, `What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your management,
because you cannot be manager any longer.'
LK 16:3 "The manager said to himself, `What shall I do now? My master
is taking away my job. I'm not strong enough to dig, and I'm ashamed to
beg-- [4] I know what I'll do so that, when I lose my job here, people will
welcome me into their houses.'
LK 16:5 "So he called in each one of his master's debtors. He asked
the first, `How much do you owe my master?'
LK 16:6 " `Eight hundred gallons of olive oil,' he replied. "The
manager told him, `Take your bill, sit down quickly, and make it four hundred.'
LK 16:7 "Then he asked the second, `And how much do you owe?' "
`A thousand bushels of wheat,' he replied. "He told him, `Take your
bill and make it eight hundred.'
LK 16:8 "The master commended the dishonest manager because he had
acted shrewdly. For the people of this world are more shrewd in dealing
with their own kind than are the people of the light. [9] I tell you, use worldly wealth to gain friends for yourselves, so that when it is gone, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings.
LK 16:10 "Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted
with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest
with much. [11] So if you have not been trustworthy in handling worldly
wealth, who will trust you with true riches? [12] And if you have not been
trustworthy with someone else's property, who will give you property of
your own?
LK 16:13 "No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the
one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the
other. You cannot serve both God and
Money."
LK 16:14 The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all this and were sneering
at Jesus. [15] He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves
in the eyes of men, but God knows your
hearts. What is highly valued among men is detestable
in God's sight.
Pauls Commitment of Grace (Act 20:32-35)
AC 20:32 "Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which
can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.
[33] I have not coveted anyone's silver or gold or clothing. [34] You yourselves
know that these hands of mine have supplied my own needs and the needs of
my companions. [35] In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind
of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus
himself said: `It is more blessed to
give than to receive.' "
Freewill offerings to Work FOCUS
'JESUS' (EXODUS 36:2-5)
EX 36:2 Then Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person
to whom the LORD had given ability
and who was willing to come and do the work. [3] They
received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry
out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after
morning. [4] So all the skilled craftsmen who were
doing all the work on the sanctuary left their work [5] and said to Moses,
"The people are bringing more
than enough for doing the work the LORD commanded to be done."
Graceline (NU 6: 22-26 NIV)
NU 6:22,23 The LORD said to Moses, "Tell Aaron and his sons, `This

bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious
to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." '
